With the rugged Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, Colorado Teardrop Trailers is known for building high quality, ergonomic teardrop trailers meant for remote adventures and off-the-grid travels. With a mission to build minimalist, yet highly functional and comfortable teardrops.
Founder Dean Wiltshire built the very first prototype in 2014
Based on necessity (after he was unable to find a teardrop for sale without a 6-month wait!), he used his background in woodworking and computer-aided design to build one for himself. And it was a smashing success – leading to the formation of Colorado Teardrop Trailers.

Now employing a team of 18 local skilled craftsmen and craftswomen, Colorado Teardrop Trailers are built to last. All teardrops are designed and manufactured in Boulder, CO. featuring the most innovative technology to create the ultimate combination of form, function – and affordability!

Colorado Teardrops Basedrop
This is the lightest model in the company teardrop lineup, but don’t be fooled by its small stature. This minimalist model is all a two-person camping team needs for comfort out in the woods, or in any rural setting you can think of!
With a queen-sized bed and fully insulated walls, you will sleep right through all the cricket chirps (and coyote howls). The roomy galley kitchen stores all your essentials from home with an ample counter prep area and plenty of shelf space, plus cooler and camp stove storage areas.
Want to “trick it out” a bit? This little workhorse can be completely customized to suit your every need – think tailgating extras, personalized colors, LED big-screens for entertainment. You can have it all – just think of the team at Colorado Teardrops as your personal wish-granting genies.
Canyonland and Canyonland Pinnacle
This model is built for the most adventurous of the adventurers. Built to take on any rugged path or backroad, the Canyonland has a full skid plate, heavy duty torsion axle to support your next off-road destination. And the best part is, you can have ruggedness AND comfort all in one.
All the features and amenities of the other models are available in this off-road model as well – it just might get a little muddier than the other models!
Canyonland Pinnacle
The Pinnacle features more off-road specific features to whet your appetite for your next remote travel adventure. Off-roading tires, axle-less suspension, a powder-coated steel skid plate, rock sliders, and a Lock N’ Roll Hitch will have you seeing just how far you can take this bad boy out into the wilderness.
Mount Massive
