A Nod To An Era Gone Past
Nearly 20 years ago, back in 2002, two brothers in Elkhart, Indiana, were presented with a business plan that would hearken back to a simpler time. A time when teardrop trailers were all the rage, booming in popularity right after World War II, as families began to seek an affordable and functional way to spend quality time together.
What’s not to love about the teardrop? Small but mighty, efficient yet sleek, and absolutely perfect for the modern cross-country explorer. So, the brothers set up shop and began to build a prototype for a 4×8 retro teardrop trailer.
Little did they know at the time that other avid campers shared their love of the teardrop. Soon, what began as a small manufacturing operation of 2 – 3 trailers a week, turned into 3 – 4 a day – and in just a couple of years. It seemed the brothers had a hit on their hands.
Little Guy teardrop trailers are now the most recognizable and best-selling brand in the world, and the company continues to provide an excellent customer experience with innovative, durable, and reliable products.
Customization Is The Name Of The Game
Each of the three main styles can be customized with 17 different model options, and there is truly something for everything you need to feel at home in the wilderness. The Platform Model comes with a sturdy metal platform on the front of the teardrop, perfect for transporting bikes, heavy coolers, or other camping equipment.
Do you love to ride your ATV while traveling? The Sport Model comes with a specially designed ramp and platform for loading up your favorite four-wheeler. Maybe you’re a true-blue sports fan, devoting your free time to following your favorite football team to games across the US? Bingo! Little Guy has just the option for you.
With the Little Guy Tailgating Package, the galley kitchen can be supplemented with a side-mounted gas grill and beverage dispenser. Just bring the food, the drinks, and the passionate (sometimes . . . overenthusiastic?) fans, and you’ve got yourself a party!
