This is the unlikely story of how a minister with a talent for plumbing and furniture design became the head honcho of nuCamp. Joe Mullet began following his passion for creating and building lawn furniture when he was 44 years old, and he was looking for something to give him a little bit of an extra challenge.
In 2004, Joe began his new journey as founder of Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailers. As Joe honed his fine craftsmanship skills and created each teardrop trailer by hand, his operation outgrew his garage within that first successful year.
Joe employed a team of genuine craftsmen to keep up with demand, and continued to center his business around his values of culture, care, product quality, and customer service.
Knock Me Down, And I’ll Get Right Back Up!
Business was booming from that first year until the recession hit in 2008. As the financial economy remained in upheaval, Pleasant Valley ceased operations. However, Joe didn’t let this setback stop his plans for the future, and after partnering with a national distributor, he was back in a matter of months.
As success began to build once again, Pleasant Valley began to build the TAB Teardrop Camper, and the TAG Teardrop Trailer, and they gradually continued to expand their product lines.
When Pleasant Valley was no longer in need of a distributor, they decided to rebrand as nuCamp to honor the German roots of the business and to embrace a wider selection of product offerings.
To this day, nuCamp is the world’s largest manufacturer of teardrop trailers. And that is something to celebrate.
TAG & TAG XL

TAB S
