The TCTeardrops Story
How did the name TCTeardrops come about?
TC is none other than co-founders and partners in life, Todd and Carol! Avid outdoor adventurers, Todd and Carol loved hiking and camping in their pop-up tent. However, there came a day when the pop-up became more hassle drying out and putting away than it was worth.
The couple were watching a show that featured retro-style teardrop campers, and their “A-HA” moment became quite clear. Intrigued with the idea of creating their own teardrop, they went to work in 2008 to make their dream happen. Having been a rough year for the economy and travel, they recognized a brilliant time to offer others the same rugged escapes.
Thus TCTeardrops came to fruition, providing other travelers the same inexpensive option for an ultimate camping experience. To Todd and Carol, customers have become family and are grateful to give others the same economical options they had searched for. With various models to choose from, you are bound to see one that fits your needs.
Meet the TCTeardrop “Original” Trailer
The Original model is the perfect teardrop for get up and go. It comes standard with the following: aluminum wheels with radial tires, diamond plate fenders, 12v outlet and dual USB ports, and LED lighting in cabin and galley. Plenty of surface space to be found in the cabin storage where a slide out table is contained.
There is galley shelving (along with a slide out table), as well as the detachable rear galley table. The tiny camper also has two doors with window screens and locks, two half moon air vents, a wheeled tongue jack, front storage platform, and a selection of hundreds of different side colors to choose from.
All you need to do is include a mattress and battery and your teardrop is road ready!
Meet the TCTeardrop “Oasis” Trailer
Built for the minimalist, the Oasis travels with the bare necessities. Just the basics, it does not contain electricity or cabinets. It comes with two doors with built in windows and locks, gray side color, wheels with radial tires, front storage platform, 3 air vents, tongue jack, and side marker lights. You can feel free to add a mattress and zipper screen doors as upgrades any time.
Meet the TCTeardrop “Overland” Trailer
Designed to be towed by an SUV or other tow rig, the Overland allows for a more off grid experience with trailer brake upgrades! Standard features for this model include all of the same amazing items that the Original has to offer, plus a few little fun extras.
These upgraded features include aluminum or steel wheels, Falken A/T tires, electric trailer brakes, choice of round or square diamond fenders, articulating hitch, stabilizer jacks, and 2200 lb Torsion axle.

The ORE was built to expand your off-roading adventures with a rugged appeal.
This camper comes with every bit of flare the Original does and some additional upgrades to handle off grid use. These upgrades include the following: aluminum alloy wheels, Falken A/T tires, jeep-style XL fenders, diamond plate undercarriage, 3500 lb torsion axle, electric brakes, wire harness, articulating hitch, rear receiver, side receivers, and vertical receiver on tongue for attachments. With all the customizing options, this trailer won’t be the same as the next one.

TCTeardrops offers a wide variety of customizable options to include (but not limited to): full or queen mattress, roof rack, screen door magnets, toolbox for front platform, different wheel style and size, spare tire, leveling jacks, LED strip lights, silverware drawers for galley, cabin reading lights, towel bars, ice or electric coolers, portable toilet, porch lights, or closet space.
How about outdoor features?
Need an awning for those warmer days? Or you could add a tag-along tent for additional enclosed space. Electrical additions you may want to consider include solar paneling, window fan, mattress heater, or ceramic heater with fan. Water storage may be a necessity to you, so don’t forget can mounts and the shower with a water heater.
