Explore South Africa in a durable fiberglass caravan that is built to withstand your most intense off-road adventures.
About Vagabond Caravans
In the exotic stretch of the globe known as South Africa, miles of rugged wilderness are waiting to be explored and discovered. Cheetahs, wildebeests, wild dogs, and other animals in their native habitats roam free, providing awe-inspiring views for local outdoor enthusiasts and visitors alike.
Vagabond Caravans are designed for the ultimate off-road experience, taking you on a personal safari through the vast expanse of South Africa. Back in 2009, the team at Vagabond manufactured the country’s very first Fiberglass Teardrop Caravan, and they haven’t slowed down since.
Today, Vagabond partners on quality teardrop manufacturing with EVOFibre Ltd, utilizing their spacious factory and their 50 years of experience in the caravan and fiberglass manufacturing industry.
Each teardrop is built to last and withstand the outdoor elements, with a fully monocoque fiberglass body that provides superior insulation and water resistance. At just 750kg, and with an upgraded chassis and suspension system for rough off-road adventures, the Vagabond Teardrop Caravan is ready when you are.
Vagabond Caravans, Camping Is For Everyone
Camping is a way of life in South Africa, and the team at Vagabond wants to ensure that amazing outdoor experiences are available to all individuals, regardless of age, lifestyle, or budget constraints. Specifically, the Vagabond Teardrop Caravan is designed to be towed by smaller cars, and doesn’t require an EB license for ownership.
With this affordable and budget-conscious caravan option, families can create memories with their children, young couples can explore the country, and older couples can enjoy their golden years in style.
The Rogue
In addition to the lightweight durability of no-joints fiberglass that covers the exterior, the teardrop is also insulated with polyurethane foam to ensure a comfortable sleeping environment that is also completely waterproof. With the additional protection of powder coated checker plate, The Rogue exterior is built for adventure.
The cabin features a comfy Queen foam mattress and padded headboard, plenty of room for storage, USB slots, and even a 12-volt port to run additional appliances. The galley kitchen includes a microwave, 2-burner gas stove, and a 50L Sno-master fridge, so essentially everything you need to create delicious meals, snacks, and drinks on the road.
What about roof rails and LED lighting throughout? Yep, The Rogue has all of that, too.
The Drifter
Featuring the same great off-road build as The Rogue, this option is perfect for a more minimalist camping approach, featuring a double bed instead of a Queen, and a slightly smaller fridge (40L) in the galley. Although it has fewer standard options, it makes a great choice for solo travelers or couples that are exploring South Africa together.
The Roamer
This base model option puts the owner directly in the driver’s seat, as it can be customized to suit the specific needs and requirements of your own unique camping adventures. This is a great option if you don’t feel the need to do any extreme off-roading.
Standard features include a double bed, large built-in insulated cooler, plenty of kitchen storage, LED lighting, and USB ports for all of your electronics.
This is the lightest option, weighing in at only 450kg!
You can upgrade this model with any number of little luxuries, including bigger wheels, an awning, entertainment system, en-suite cubicle, roof rails, and more.
Vagabond Teardrop Caravans stand ready to take you across the South African wilderness in comfort and style.
